The business was originally founded in 2008 by Neil Mason, after working in the WA boating market and recognizing a need for a personal, quality driven company which operated with the highest integrity and minimum fuss.
Power and Sail Marine Pty Ltd now operate the company from our waterfront office at Blue HQ’s two facilities on Mews Rd at 8-10 and No. 38 in Fremantle WA, selling boats from both yards, with more than 30 boats to show at our facility, as well as upwards of 150 vessels up and down the coast of WA. The Blue HQ activity is in partnership with the Blue HQ owners and one that we are justifiability proud of.
The business now also has a designated sales area in an extensive facility located in Wangara, WA, (off Ocean Reef Road, North of the River) which is managed by Boatox, an excellent place to house, detail or have the in-house mechanic service your boat. We have a number of boats at this facility for clients to climb on and get the feel of.
The company is driven by a focused solution led team, passionate about boating, who work 7 days a week up and down the coast of WA from Mindarie to Esperance. The team is composed of four yacht brokers – Neil, John, Pete and Mark. Darcy, who manages our social media and marketing activities, ensuring your boat gets out there to the targeted buyers. The team is held together by the group listing broker and office manager – Darcy, who is always ready to help customers navigate through the buying and selling process.

Neil founded Power and Sail Marine in 2008 after years of boating experience gained whilst serving in the Royal Navy from the age of 17. He worked on aircraft carriers for extended periods of time, launching and recovering aircraft on flight decks, where he discovered his love for the water. Neil travelled to Fremantle in 1986 to witness the America’s cup and was hooked on boats and Australia.
In 2020, he established a valuable partnership to operate the brokerage activity in Blue HQ’s extensive boat storage facility where over 400 vessels are housed- the largest of its kind in Western Australia. This is testament to the company coming of age and has cemented the level at which we operate in being a progressive service led organization. Working with the highest ideals to ensure our stakeholder are justifiably proud of the way that we do business. Neil continues to run the company along with the team, who all work tirelessly to aid customers in all of their boating needs.

Skipper, boat handling and deliveries
Dale is a capable and enthusiastic skipper, keen to help clients during boat handovers and driving lessons. With extensive driving experience of all boats from 5mtr to 20mtrs and having worked in the marine industry for over 7 years, he is able to aid clients in gaining confidence when driving their new boat. Dale has also worked in the boat detailing sector with an industry leader and now operates his own business, so can offer advice to clients as to how to maintain their vessel.
